Complete Pictures (including undercarriage) and Video at www.4-wheelclassics.com
This 1985 Ford F-150 Supercab 4x4 is an XLT Lariat with Explorer package. This is a really nice and really clean Bullnose truck that spent its life in the Pacific NW. This truck is pretty loaded having those 3 packages and it also has a the upgraded 5.8L 351W High Output engine. This truck has obviously been well cared for and maintained and has pretty low miles for the year. The body on this truck is clean and straight. The factory 2 Tone paint still looks great and the colors are Medium Fire Red and Light Desert Tan. The paint appears to be all original with the exception of the roof which was repainted because it was faded pretty bad. All of the chrome and trim is in excellent original condition and it does have the deluxe moldings. The underside of this truck is really clean and we found no rust issues.
The interior is also in excellent shape. The front bucket seats were reupholstered and look like new. The Bucket seats and center console were sourced from a Ford Bronco from the same era. It also has newer carpet and dash cover. The rear seat, headliner, door panels, dash, and dash bezel are original and nice. The headlights, taillights, brake lights, and turn signals are all working. The gauges all work. It has tilt wheel but no cruise control. The windshield wipers and the heat work. The AC is complete but it is not blowing cold (still Freon).
Mechanically this truck is excellent and it runs and drives wonderful. The engine is the 5.8L 351W High Output that runs strong with no issues or red flags that we found. The engine is stock except for a newer Edelbrock 4 Barrel Carb. The truck did come with a 4 Barrel Carb from the factory. It has dual exhaust that sounds great as well. The transmission is the C6 Automatic that shifts nice. It is mated to the Borg Warner manual transfer case. The 4WD works like it should. The rear axle is a Ford 9 Inch with 3.50 gears. The front axle is a Dana 44 TTB with 3.50 gears. This is all sitting on some nice lookin aluminum aftermarket wheels with newer 31 Inch Toyo Mud Terrain tires.
