This 1979 Ford F250 Camper Special is a very special and very cool truck. It is also a Ranger and XLT. This is a very very clean original truck and it is a real Camper Special. (Last Owner Badged as an F350, but is a F26 truck which is the F250). This truck spent its entire life out West in California and then Washington. It is obvious this truck has been extremely well cared for and we believe it has original paint that looks great (we found no evidence of any paintwork). The body is really straight and we found no rust or evidence of any rust repair. The underside is incredibly clean and still shows the original primer on the underside of the body. The bed of the truck is also original and excellent and the moldings are all in great shape as well. Based on all of these things we are pretty confident the miles are original. The interior is also in very very nice clean condition and original. It has the XLT door panels, original dash in great shape, original steering wheel and the carpet and seat look original as well and are in amazing condition for the age. It does have an aftermarket radio and speakers.

This truck originally came with a 400 V8, but that engine was swapped with a 460 V8 to have more power than the 400. It was a Crate engine and it was installed in 1996 in California. It was installed correctly to be California Emissions compliant and has the sticker which you can see in the pictures. The 460 V8 is pretty stock and runs amazing with great power. It has an aluminum intake and Edelbrock Carb with 3 Inch Dual Exhaust. The transmission is the C6 Automatic with the NP205 Transfer Case. It shifts smooth. It has a DANA 60 Rear Axle and DANA 44 front axle and they both have 4.10 gears. This truck does have a 4 Inch Lift Kit with 35 Inch tires and Fuely Rims and it gives this truck the perfect stance.

This truck is a pleasure to drive. It drove down the road so nice and everything was tight. All of the lights, blinkers, wipers, gauges, and horn are working and this truck is ready to hit the road! We hand pick each vehicle, drive it, inspect it, and make sure it is ready for you to enjoy! We drive what we sell so that we can give you a first hand and accurate report on how the vehicle runs and drives.
