Rare Lil Red Express Pickup!!

This 1979 Lil Red Express Pickup is something you don't find very often. Only 2,188 built in 1978 and 5,118 built in 1979. This truck was a blast to drive and it ran and drove great!! The smokestack pipes have a great rumble and the recently replace front brake calipers help it stop quickly. Other recent work were some new belts and hoses and a minor tune up. This thing is ready for someone to drive and enjoy. The S in the Vin # shows the truck came with the High Power 360 which only the Lil Red EXpress trucks came with according to the research we have done. Although I wouldn't call this a 100 point show truck, it is definitely a headturner and is in very nice condition. The previous owner passed away recently and has owned for the last 12 years. It was always stored inside and never driven in the winter. The truck was repainted at some point and looks excellent. The paint is straight and only has some minor stone chips here and there from driving. Interior looks to be all original and is also very nice. The underside is also original and has some surface rust but is pretty solid. The engine was replaced so it does not have the original 360, but it still has a 360V8 and it has plenty of power. It looks like the date code is from 1975.
