RESTORED 1979 FORD F150 SHORT BOX! NICE TRUCK!!
This 1979 Ford F150 Pickup is a Short Box 4WD and is in beautiful condition. This is a frame off restored truck that was completed around 3 years ago by the last owner. It took about 3 years to complete and nearly everything was new or replaced when it was restored. This is a very clean and very nice truck. The body is really really nice and truck came out of the south as a clean truck to begin with. The body is very straight and the paint is still in beautiful condition, as it should be, being a recent restoration. When it was repainted it was painted in its original color of Dark Blue Metallic. When the body was off the frame was sandblasted and painted as well. The interior is also restored to stock with the seat being reupholstered, new carpet, new headliner, new dash pad. They did add aftermarket gauges for the Oil Pressure and Engine Temp. This was an AC truck and all of the parts are there except it will need AC lines installed and then charged. Other than that all of the lights, gauges, wipers work. Horn was not working.
Mechanically this truck is excellent and it runs and drives wonderful. The engine is a rebuilt 351W. The last owner was not able to find receipts but it is pretty clear the engine was rebuilt based by appearance and how it runs. I has an Edelbrock Intake, Holley Carb, Electronic Ignition, Headers, Dual Exhaust, and Serpentine Belt System. They also added an A0D Automatic Transmission and it is mated to an NP205 Transfer Case. This is a nice combo and allows you to cruise at highway speeds better with better gas mileage. Rear End is a 9 Inch and Front End is a DANA 44 and they both have 3.50 Gears. When restored all bushings were replaced and they added a 2 Inch Lift with 31 Inch tires. This truck drives amazing and has no disappointments
