1980 INTERNATIONAL SCOUT TRAVELER WITH LS ENGINE. RESTORED WITH BEST PARTS!!

This is one beautiful frame off restored 1980 INTERNATIONAL SCOUT TRAVELER. You don't see many of these and rarely one restored to this level. The restoration was done by a company called Rock Tech Offroad in southern California. Everything about this truck is top notch. There has been roughly 7500 miles logged since its completion a few years ago. There are no known issues with this truck and everything works as it should. This was an $80,000 dollars build when it was completed. The Traveler was originally a diesel so CA smog should be a non issue.

The body on this traveler is the cleanest we have seen on any international. All the sheet-metal appears to be original with no patches or rust anywhere. The body is laser straight and the paint is excellent. The underside is unbelievably clean as well. The interior was also restored and the interior floor was completely rhino-lined when done. They also added snap out marine carpet.

Mechanically this truck is excellent. It runs and drive amazing. It has tons of power and cruised nicely at 75 on the freeway. The drivetrain is all updated with the best parts available.

-2004 GM LQ9 6.0 liter roughly 30k on it. Custom wiring harness, headers, 3” custom exhaust (sounds great). Everything in engine compartment was new or rebuilt.

-Working heat and A/C

-Rebuilt 4l60e trans. Shifts nice and firm remote trans cooler with fan and temp switch.

-Atlas 2 transfer case with twin stick shifter Custom front and rear driveshafts.

-Dana 44 front and rear axles both have 4.56 gears and ARB lockers. Front axle cut and turned to provide correct caster.

-Hydroboost brakes with stainless brake lines, All new brake parts, front disc rear drum.

-new steering gearbox with reinforcement plate. Custom hi-steer set up.

-Spring over lift lit done correctly with new alcan springs. This truck truly rides amazing, rear antirock sway control. Heavy duty greasable shackles.

-1” aluminum body lift with new polyurethane body mounts

-New 35x12.50x17 BFG mud terrains on black alum wheels.

-Full custom roll cage all tied to the frame also tied into rock sliders. (this is an extremely well built thought out cage). Front seats are part of cage.

-Corbeau front reclining seats with harnesses, rear folding corbeau seat.

- Complete set of attometer gauges All working, nice stereo, locking center console, lokar shifter.

-Custom front bumper with Warn 9000 winch and fog lights. Custom rear bumper with swing away tire carrier and 3” receiver.

-ARB compressor plumbed to 3 gallon air tank with quick connect fittings in the front and rear bumpers.

- 33 gallon custom fuel tank

There are plenty of other custom features but this is the bulk of it. This truck was built with a lot of attention to detail. Truck is a ton of fun to drive and is an attention getter. No cut corners anywhere. Original builder brought this scout to shop and said go crazy with basically no budget.
