1968 FORD F250 HIGHBOY RANGER XLT. FRAME OFF RESTORED CALIFORNIA TRUCK!!

This 1968 Ford F250 4x4 Pickup is a Highboy Ranger XLT!! This was a lifelong California truck that was frame-off restored over a 5 year period and has less than 1,000 miles since being completed around 3 years ago. The only reason we were able to obtain this truck is because the last owner became ill and had to sell it. This is a really really nice frame off restored original highboy. The truck was a labor of love for this person and he restored everything cosmetically and mechanically. When it was restored he searched long and hard to find original Ford parts for the restoration. The body on this truck is as straight as an arrow and the black paint proves it. The paint is gorgeous and straight as well. With black paint you would be able to see if there were issues and there are none. The body work and paint are excellent and the truck was totally dis-assembled when painted. All of the chrome and stainless are excellent and he spent long hours searching for New, Old Stock Parts or the best used parts he could find to complete. This truck has the Ranger package with the full trim and it gives it a great look. When he restored it he put a 70 Grille in the truck because he liked it better. We do have the original 68 Grille if you want it. It is still in good original condition.

The interior is also restored and excellent. Everything was gone through and is working. Everything is either new, replaced, or repaired. This includes recovered seat, new weatherstripping and new window seals.

Mechanically this truck was completely gone through and is either new or rebuilt. The engine is a 390 V8 that came out of a 2WD 1968 F250. He had the engine completely rebuilt and it runs strong and runs excellent!! Transmission is the NP435 4 Speed manual that shifts really nice. It is mated to the DANA 24 Transfer Case. All of the 4WD functions as it should. The Rear Axle is a DANA 60 with 4.10 Gears and locking Differential. Front Axle is a DANA 44 with 4.10 Gears. This truck has Power Brakes and he added a nice set of Vintage Style Aluminum Wheels with 33 Inch Tires. He restored this Highboy to look stock and it really runs and drives excellent. A true Show and Go truck!!!
