2 OWNER, METICULOUSLY MAINTAINED, 1989 JEEP GRAND WAGONEER.

This 1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is a 2 owner truck that has been cared for its entire life. The last owner has owned it since 1993 and when he first bought it, used it as a 2nd vehicle and occasional weekend driver. It was always stored inside. When he retired he decided to go through everything mechanically on this Jeep and made it what it is today....a reliable and well maintained rig that you can drive on or off road. He built this to be a reliable everyday driver that he could take into the back country if he wanted too. This Grand Wagoneer has always been thoroughly maintained and it shows. The body is in excellent condition and the paint is too. The Bright White paint is really very nice, but it was touched below the wood-grain because of stone chips from normal driving over the years. The woodgrain looks to be original and it is still in great shape. It is a very very clean original body. If you look at the underbody pictures you will see it is also excellent!! There was never any rust, except for some minor surface rust, on the undercarriage and the underside has never been painted opr undercoated. This shows you a lot about the clean original condition of this rig.

The original interior is still in amazing condition. The seats are still soft and in great condition and so is the original carpet. Dash, door panels, and side panels are also excellent! The only item we found not original was the headliner was redone at some point and looks like new. All of the gauges work, power windows and locks work and it has power front disc brakes along with power steering. This truck did come with Cruise Control, but it is not working. It also has the original Jeep Floor Mats. The stereo is not stock and was upgraded.

Mechanically there is a lot to say about this Jeep. It has all been gone through and he spent a ton of money on it and put a lot of thought into this build. It was basically totally rebuilt mechanically over the last 8-10 years. He replaced the 360 v8 with a rebuilt 401 V8 engine which gives this vehicle a nice power upgrade. There are around 30,000 miles on the engine and when it was done it was balanced, blueprinted and professionally tuned. It runs excellent!! The engine has full MSD Ignition setup, Edelbrock Aluminum Intake and Carb. (He left the original ignition in place, so if there was a failure he would have a backup). It has ceramic coated header that are fully heat wrapped that drop into 3 Inch Exhaust with full Cats and Mufflers to keep it quiet (passed Colorado Emissions every year). The Automatic Transmission is a TCI Crate 727 with the same miles as the engine. It shifts well and also has a temp gauge. Transfer Case is a 229 and works properly. They also added new driveshafts when this was done.

Front and Rear Axle are DANA 44's with ARB Air Lockers and 4.10 Gears. This was all rebuilt as well a little less than 30,000 miles ago. He added a nice 2 Inch Spring Lift for a little more clearance as these Grand Wagoneers tend to sit a little low, and also added a 1 Inch Body Lift. This allows the 31 Inch BFG All Terrain tires to stay clear of everything and not rub. It is a great look and does not sit high at all. The original rims are still in amazing shape! It is very clear this vehicle has been well cared for and the modifications were done right! Unfortunately we did not receive receipts for the work, which is not unusual in today's world. This Grand Wagoneer is a blast to drive and is ready to roll!!
