ONE FAMILY OWNED 1972 FORD F250 HIGHBOY. WESTERN TRUCK. TRUE SURVIVOR! CLEAN!

This 1972 Ford F250 Highboy was purchased new in Lewiston, Idaho and has remained in the same family the whole time. We were told the 36,856 these are the true original miles to the vehicle since it was used sparingly and stored indoors a-lot, especially recently. The truck was purchased from the original owners grandson. We have all the documentation which includes the owners manual to the protective plate. There is a warranty registration notice from Lou Bell Motors that is dated June 9 1972. The build sheet was found underneath the seat and was laminated The original owner passed away in 1987 and the truck remained with the widow. The grandson would use the truck to help his grandmother out doing things like yard work, hauling off the trash and odds and ends around the house for her. The truck was always parked under a carport or in the shop. Since 1987 the truck has only had around 4000 miles put on it. The body on this truck is very straight and solid with no rust except for in the bed of the truck. There are no holes and the bed is solid. The Light Goldenrod paint is original and has a lot of cool patina and the truck looks great in person and the paint is in amazing condition! The underside is also original and very clean. It is untouched and not painted and looks amazing for a truck this age. Again, no rot or rust on this truck, just patinal and surface rust.

This truck was purchased to be used sparingly as they had a camper that they haul in the bed and was used for the chores around the house. There are two small dings in truck. One in the tailgate and one in driver side bed. The truck had saddle gas tanks put in and the grandson informed us that he is never put fuel in them so I believe that they are non-functional at this moment. The truck has been parked for the past 11 years in a storage shed when not used. The interior is original and stock except for the recovered Bench Seat and a dash cap because original dash has cracks in it. All of the lights, gauges, wipers, heat are working. The vehicle is equipped with hanging in dealer installed air conditioning and comes with the paperwork on how to operate it. The Air conditioning is all there and is functional. Horn is not working. The only other thing not original are the rims on this truck. When new tires were put on they would not install the tires on the original split rims so new rims were purchased.

This truck still has the original 360 V8 motor and it runs fantastic. It is very smooth and has no red flags that popped up. No smoke and it starts easy. The transmission is the NP435 Manual and it is mated to the DANA 24 Transfer Case. All of the 4WD functions properly. Rear Axle is a DANA 60 and this truck has 3.73 Gears. When we drove this truck it drove great and was fun to drive. Because there are not a lot of miles it was still very tight. This era of highboy is really appreciating and to find a survivor like this is getting very hard to find.
