FRAME OFF RESTORED 1949 FORD F1 (F47)! BEAUTIFUL TRUCK!!!

Complete Pictures (including undercarriage) and Video at www.4-wheelclassics.com

This 1949 Ford F1 Pickup is really an F47. It is basically the same as a F1 except that it was assembled in Canada so it has the F47 designation. This truck was a complete Frame-Off restoration which was completed a couple of years ago. It was a very high quality restoration and the last owner, who was from Washington, won multiple trophies and even a best of show award. This truck was built to appear stock but has a number of really nice mechanical upgrades. The body on this truck is exceptionally clean and straight. The paint is beautiful. The truck was completely taken apart for paint and everything was painted inside and out. All of the trim is also in beautiful condition. The bed was also restored and redone to resemble the original black color. The underside of this truck is also super clean and rust free and we found no patches or rust repair anywhere. This truck also has the dealer installed fog lights which are really cool. The interior was also restored and is excellent! It was done to original condition with new seat upholstery, new rubber floor mat, restored instrument cluster, all new seals and rubber. It has Dealer installed Heater and Vacuum operated fan. Everything on this truck works.

Mechanically this truck is as nice as it is cosmetically. Based on the numbers and research we did we believe the engine is a 255 Mercury from 1951. It is a Flathead V8 and it runs wonderful! This engine was built in Canada and the engine was rebuilt when it was restored. We do not have the exact specs of the rebuild unfortunately. However, it appears to be a quality rebuild based on how nice it runs and how strong it pulls. The transmission was updated to a T5 5 Speed manual which makes this thing fun to drive. It shifts smooth and really makes this thing get up and go. The rear end was also updated to a Ford 9 Inch. All of these items combined really make this truck a pleasure to drive. It cruises comfortably at 60 MPH but will go much faster. Everything on this truck was new or rebuilt when it was restored including the brake system, wiring harness, steering, and fuel system. Whoever buys this truck will be getting a gem.
