This 1978 International Scout is an incredible find. A 2 owner scout owned by father and son over its lifetime and in unbelievable original condition. This is an extremely original and documented Scout that was always stored indoors and thoughtfully cared for over its life. We have the original window sticker, original line ticket, owners manual, accessory manual, warranty manual, and original owners card. This is a lifelong Montana truck that is in absolutely unbelievable condition. The original Owner kept a little notebook documenting every time he had work done to the Scout and that includes miles. This Scout is truly a Time Capsule. The body on this rig is original amazing. It is clean, straight, and solid with no evidence of rust anywhere. The paint appears to be all original and is in amazing condition. The paint color is International Rallye Gold. This Scout came with the Deluxe Interior Trim Package, deluxe Side Moldings, Tail Lamp Bezels, deluxe Grille, Windshield Moldings, Lift Gate Moldings, and Glass trim. It is Highly optioned. All of the chrome and stainless is in excellent condition. The underside is also in excellent original condition with no rust issues ever. If you look under the hood you will see it is all original condition as well and beautiful.

The interior is really cool and all original. This has the Deluxe Interior Package with the Deluxe Seats in Bark & Tan, woodgrain trim, deluxe door panels, and full cargo mat. The original Rubber Floor shows little wear and the seats, door panels, headliner, and dash are all excellent!! This is one of the nicest original interiors you will find. All of the lights, gauges, wipers, heat, horn, dome light are working. It appears that everything is working as it should be.

Mechanically this Scout is amazing. It drives and runs like a dream and it is just awesome. The engine is the original 304 V8 and its starts easily and runs strong. It appears to be totally stock, but it recently had the Carb rebuilt, had a new alternator installed, and a new fan clutch installed. The transmission is the 727 Automatic and it shifts smooth with no issues. It is mated to the Dana 20 Transfer case and the 4WD works as it should. It has Dana 44 Axles Front and rear with 3.54 Gears. This rig has Power Front Disc Brakes and Power Steering. This is all sitting on the original wheels and hubcaps with a good set of tires with plenty of tread. This Scout is a rare find in this condition!!
