This 1978 Ford F250 was a rust free Texas truck that was brought to Michigan 3-4 years ago and restored by the last owner. It is a 78 Body on a 1975 Ford F250 Highboy frame...titled as a 1978. It was a frame off redo that was done to be a reliable driver. This truck was only driven in the Summer Months when it was brought to Michigan. He left the underside original as it was clean and rust free and he also wanted to drive it without worrying about being caught in the rain. He did a really nice job on the restoration as you will be able to see by our detailed pictures. The body is extremely clean and there are no rust issues with this truck and there never were. The paint on this truck is really nice and looks great. It is a newer Ford Maroon paint color. The fit and finish of this truck is excellent! The bed was professionally lined and the chrome and stainless is all in great condition as well. The interior is also really nice. He added new carpet and reupholstered the seat. The dash, door panels, and dash bezel were kept original and are in great original condition. All of the lights, gauges, wipers, heat, horn and AC work.

Mechanically this truck is awesome! It starts, runs, and drives excellent!! The engine is a 460 V8 with a Holley 4 Barrel Carb that runs strong. Engie was rebuilt at some point but we do not have the details on that. He also added HEI Ignition and great sounding Dual Exhaust. The transmission is a C6 Automatic that shifts nice and it is mated to the np205 Transfer Case. The 4WD works like it should. Rear Axle is a Dana 60 and the Front Axle is a Dana 44 and they both have 4.10 Gears. This is all sitting on a set of stock steel rims with BFG All Terrains.
