ALL STEEL 1981 JEEP CJ7 WITH CUMMINS DIESEL ENGINE. COOL BUILD!!!

Complete Pictures (including undercarriage) and Video at www.4-wheelclassics.com

This 1981 Jeep CJ-7 is a very cool build. It is a frame off restored Jeep that was done right and the added a Cummins Turbo Diesel engine for the powerplant. Everything is either new or rebuilt and they did an excellent job. The body on this Jeep is all steel and in excellent condition. When it was painted it was taken off the frame and the White paint is beautiful. Everything was taken apart when painted and the underside and inside floors were line-xed at that time. They put new door and window seals in after painting. They added new pumpers, nice fender flares, side steps, and all new lights. All of the lights, gauges, wipers, and heat work. The horn is in-op. The interior is also restored and is all new. They installed new carpet with Dyna-Mat underneath, new seats, new center console, new dash, new door panels, and new custom stereo. The interior is near perfect.

Mechanically this Jeep is really cool. They installed a Cummins B 3.3 Diesel Engine which is an Inline 4 and they did an excellent job. It appears to be all stock and it is very fun to drive. This engine gets great fuel mileage in the mid 20's and this engine makes 230 foot pounds of torque for off-roading. The transmission is a rebuilt 727 Automatic and it shifts smooth. It is mated to the Dana 300 Transfer Case and the 4WD works like it should. The rear axle is a Ford 9 Inch to handle the Torque from the engine and it has 3.73 Gears. It is laso a Limited Slip. The front axle is a Dana 30 with 3.73 Gears. This Jeep has an all new 4 Inch Spring Lift and they added stainless steel brake lines, new shocks, new shackles, and new bushings. The steering system is all new and they upgraded the brakes to Hydroboost. This is all sitting on a nice set of Aluminum Wheels with 35 Inch Mud Terrain Tires.
