1969 PONTIAC GTO. REAL GTO OWNED BY LAST OWNER FOR 40 YEARS!!!

Complete Pictures (including undercarriage) and Video at www.4-wheelclassics.com

This 1969 Pontiac GTO is a really cool car that was owned for the last 40 years by the same person. This is not a fully restored GTO, rather it is an extremely well kept and mostly original example that has had 1 repaint in its original color. It is an awesome car to cruise and drive in, but still nice enough to take to local car shows. The body on this GTO is excellent!! It spent the first 12 years of its life in Arkansas and then last 40 in Michigan always stored in a climate controlled storage barn and never driven in the winters. The body appears to be all original and we found no evidence of rust or rust repair. The underside is also original and very clean. When the car was repainted it was done professionally in its original color of Expresso Brown Poly, and the paint still looks excellent and has held up very well. The rear bumper was rechromed at some point and all of the chrome, moldings, and trim are original and still look great!! The vinyl top was also replaced at some point and looks wonderful.

The interior is in excellent original condition and it all appears to be stock with the exception of the Tach, aftermarket gauges, and the recently installed headliner. The bucket seats, center console, door panels, and dash are original and still in excellent condition. Headlights, taillights, brakelights, and blinkers are all working. All of the gauges are working and the heat, wipers, and horn ar working. The Vacuum Light Doors work but sometimes they need a little help closing. This is an original AC car but the the AC is gone and will need to be replaced if you want that to work.

Mechanically this car is excellent and it runs and drives great!! The engine is the 400 V8 and the short block was replaced in the 80's with a Jasper remanufactured engine. The last owner said the rest on the engine was original and that included the heads which were rebuilt, but we have not verified. The engine runs strong with no red flags. It has headers with dual exhaust, a HEI ignition, and an upgraded (larger) QuadraJet Carb. Other than that it looks to be all original under the hood. The transmission is a Turbo 400 and is believed to be the original. It shifts perfect. The rear end is a 10 Bolt with 3.73 gears.
