BEAUTIFUL, RESTORED 1979 FORD F-150 SHORT BOX PICKUP!!

This 1979 Ford F-150 Ranger XLT Short Box is a beautiful truck that was restored around 3 years ago. The short box trucks are getting harder and harder to find and are very desirable. This particular truck has all of the right options and has been driven sparingly since it was restored. Unfortunately we did not receive the restoration receipts, but it clear that everything was new or rebuilt and the time of restoration. The body on this truck is extremely straight and clean. It was obviously a clean truck before it was restored and we found no bondo or new metal welded in. It was professionally painted Raven Black and Silver and it appears the truck was disassembled for paint. Originally the truck was all black. This is a Ranger XLT so it has all of the XLT trim and the truck has a great look! All of the chrome and trim is in great condition and the underside is extra clean and really nice. We found no rust or rust repair anywhere on this truck.

The interior is in excellent shape. It is a combination of beautiful original parts and new items. The seat was recovered in original deluxe style and the carpet is new. It also has a new dash bezel, new headliner, new sun visors, new weatherstripping, and new window seals. It has the original deluxe door panels in excellent original condition which are very hard to find. The dash pad and steering wheel appear original and are in great shape. The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are all working. The wipers, heat, ac, horn, and gauges are all working. It is just a really nice interior!

Mechanically this truck is wonderful! It runs and drives down the road great with no issues that we found. The engine is believed to be the original 400 V8 and it looks to be a stock build. This was rebuilt when restored and it runs strong!! There are a lot of new parts under the hood. The transmission is the C6 Automatic and it shifts nice. It is mated to the np203 transfer case and the 4WD works like it should (The truck does have the locking hubs installed on the front axles, but the part-time 4WD kit has not been installed yet). It has a Ford 9 Inch rear axle with 3.50 gears and a limited slip. The front axle is a Dana 44 with 3.50 gears. When it was restored the braking system was completely rebuilt. It also had new driveshafts, new AC components, and a new exhaust system. This is all sitting on a nice set of Aluminum Rims with 33 Inch BFG All Terrains. This is a really sweet truck!!!
