RUST FREE, ALL STEEL, UPGRADED 1983 JEEP SCRAMBLER (CJ-8). AWESOME BUILD!!!

Complete Pictures (including undercarriage) and Video at www.4-wheelclassics.com

This 1983 Jeep Scrambler (CJ-8) is a very cool build. It spent its life in California until 2020 when the owner moved to Georgia. He owned it for the last 20 years or so and had it professionally built into what it is today. This Jeep is ready to cruise on the pavement or take it offroad on even the most challenging trails. It was built to be able to drive to the trails and it runs and drives excellent. The last owner actually drove it from california to his new home in Georgia. The body on this Scrambler is excellent. Since it was a California Jeep, it is completely solid and rust free. The undercarriage obviously really clean as well. This Jeep was originally Copper Brown, but was repainted in Dark Metallic Gray with black accents. It looks great!! The body is completely covered in GenRight Body Armor. It has Metalcloak Front Fenders complete with aluminum inner fenders. It also has a complete Bestop Soft Top. The interior is pretty basic. It is complete and fully functional. It has Bucket Seats with locking center console. Headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are working. It has an aftermarket heater that works great. It as the factory roll bar. The wipers, horn, gauges, and stereo all work.

Mechanically this Jeep is top notch. It starts easily and runs and drives excellent. It drives a lot nicer than any Scrambler we have driven. Everything was done right on this Scrambler. The engine is rebuilt 258 Inline 6 and it was done around 10,000 miles ago. It has Hesco Fuel Injection that works great, a Comp Cams Cam for torque, Borla header, and aluminum valve cover. The transmission is the nv3550 5 Speed manual which came out of a newer Jeep. It is heavier duty and shifts perfectly. It is mated to a rebuilt Dana 300 transfer case and they installed a 4:1 low kit at that time which gives it very low range for crawling. The rear axle is a Dana 44 custom built by SOLID with 4.88 gears. Ithas an ARB Air Locker, 35 Spline Dutchmen axles, and disc brakes. The front axle is a Dana 44 also custom built by SOLID with 4.88 gears and ARB Air Locker and 30 spline chromemoly axles and disc brakes.

Other items to note are the custom high steer conversion done correctly with full PSC Steering Gearbox and hydro assist steering. It has a spring over axle lift professionally installed with YJ Rubicon Express springs and shackle reversal. This rig rides awesome!! The tires are 35 Inch Goodyear MTR's on Aluminum wheels with a matching spare. The spare is on a hanson's Spare Tire carrier with cooler and gas can holders. It has a Warn 8274 Winch installed and it is operable. They installed a Kilby On Board Air Kit with its own tank, compressor, and regulator. It comes with a hose so you can run your own air tools. This Jeep does come with a set of steel factory doors and a factory bulkhead if you want them. It also has the parts to rebuild the doors but the everything will need to be painted to match the Jeep. This is an awesome build that you cannot replicate for what we are asking.
