This 1983 Chevy K10 Silverado is a Short Box Squarebody truck that has a really cool and unique story. This truck was purchased new by the Washington Department of Wildlife in 1983 (have paperwork proof). It was used by the Chief to plant pheasants in the wild. When he retired in 2005 the department gave him the truck and retired the truck along with him. He continued to drive the truck until around 2017 and then he decided to restore it. He did not do a nut and bolt style restoration as it did not need that, but he did do a detailed selective restoration on it and it turned out beautiful. We have over $20,000 of receipts that will come with the truck which shows the extensive work done to it.

The body on this truck is super straight and clean! He had the truck professionally repainted in its original color of Mahogany Metallic and the truck looks awesome. All of the trim and chrome is in excellent shape and he had the bed linexed at that time. He also added a nice Tonneau Cover and added 2 lockable storage boxes in the bed. The underside he left original and it is also extremely clean. We found no rust issues with this truck and there never have been.

The interior is also in wonderful condition. He reupholstered the seat and added new door panels as well. Other new items include an aftermarket steering wheel, new rubbers, new weatherstripping, new carpets , and a nice stereo system. The original dash and dash pad still look great. The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are all working. The gauges work and the heat, wipers, and horn are working. This is an AC truck and all of the AC items are there but it is not blowing cold.

Mechanically this truck runs and drives awesome. All of the mechanicals were either replaced or rebuilt around 1500 miles ago. The engine was replaced with a 5.7L 350 V8 crate engine and we have the receipt. It runs strong and smooth. They added an Edelbrock Aluminum Intake, Edelbrock Carb, HEI Distributor, new Alternator, new fuel pump, and new AC compressor. This include all new tuneup parts and new belts and hoses. The transmission is the Turbo 350 Automatic and it was rebuilt and we have the receipt. It shifts smooth and it is mated to the np208 transfer case that was rebuilt. The 4WD works like it should. It has a Corporate 10 Bolt Rear End with 3.42 gears and a limited Slip. The front end is also a Corporate 10 Bolt with 3.42 gears. Other new items include shocks, u-joints, wiper motor, and tires. The tires are 31 Inch BFG All Terrains. This is a gorgeous truck that runs and drives as good as it looks!!
