STREET LEGAL 1989 AM GENERAL HUMVEE WITH LOW MILES!!!

This 1989 AM General Humvee is a really nice example of a Military Humvee that was professionally modified to be street legal and able to be registered. This truck went through the rebuild process in Maine in 2006. This truck was not bought at Auction but it was purchased by a custom Humvee builder who did all of the modifications and is a leader in this business. This rig was used by the military before it was completely gone through and made street legal. It has a clean and clear title ready for the next owner.

The body on these are all aluminum so there is no rust. This particular vehicle has a very straight body and the paint color is US Army CARC Tan. It has a newer canvas top with canvas doors on it. The interior is very basic like you would see from a Military Vehicle like this. Everything is working like it should except for the horn. Even the gauges and heat work.

Mechanically this rig is ready to roll and it runs and drives excellent!!The engine is the 6.5L Diesel which was replaced in 2006 by the Military when it went through their rebuild process. It starts easily and runs perfect. The transmission the Turbo 400 Automatic that shifts great and it is mated to the NP242 Transfer case. The 4WD system is operating like it should. It has HM-634 differentials front and rear with 2.73 gears and gear reductions at all 4 wheels. It is sitting Military Rims with newer 37 Inch Wrangler Mud Terrains which we were told were run flats. Such a cool Truck!!!
