1983 GMC JIMMY WITH 6.2L TURBO DIESEL. CLEAN WESTERN TRUCK!!!

This 1983 GMC Jimmy is a super clean California truck with the 6.2L Turbo Diesel engine. This was a highly optioned Jimmy in its day. This is a low mileage vehicle that was obviously well cared for. The body on this truck is straight and clean and we found no rust or rust repair anywhere. It was professionally repainted at one time in its original color of Colonial Yellow and the paint looks great!!! All of the chrome and stainless is original and still in wonderful condition. The underside is also very very clean as you can see from the undercarriage photos on our website.

The interior is also very nice. It has a really nice and very comfortable aftermarket bench seat with folding center console that was installed. It really fits the truck well and actually looks stock. Everything else in the truck is original and in beautiful shape. The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are working. It has working power windows and locks. It also has working cruise. The wipers and heat are working. This truck does have AC but it is not blowing cold. The horn is also inop.

This Jimmy runs and drives awesome! The 6.2L Turbo Diesel engine starts easily and runs great!!! The engine is original to the truck and the turbo was added at a later date. which makes the truck much more responsive. They also added dual exhaust which sounds great! This truck will get somewhere between 20-25 MPG depending how you drive it. The transmission is the 700R4 Automatic that shifts nice and it is mated to the np208 transfer case. The 4WD works like it should. The rear axle is a 10 Bolt with 3.73 gears and the front axle is also a 10 bolt with 3.73 gears., This is all sitting on a newer set of aluminum rims with General Grabber AT2 tires.
