1979 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN SILVERADO K20 (3/4 TON). CLEAN RIG FROM PACIFIC NW!!!

Complete Pictures (including undercarriage) and Video at www.4-wheelclassics.com

This 1979 Chevrolet Suburban Silverado K20 (3/4 Ton) is a really cool and clean rig that spent its life in the Pacific NW. We rarely come across Suburbans of this Vintage in this condition so it was a great find and a really nice truck. The body on this Burb is really nice and straight. The truck was repainted in its original color of Dark Carmine at some point and the paint still looks great!! All of the trim and chrome is still in excellent original condition. The underside is all original and clean and we found no rust issues with this Suburban.

The interior is also in really nice shape. It has newer carpet, a new headliner, new dash, new dash bezel, newly professionally recovered seats, and a nice Vintage Audio Stereo. The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are all working. The gauges all work. The wipers, heat, and horn work. The electric rear window works. This is an AC truck and the AC is complete but it is not blowing cold. This is a really nice interior for a Suburban of this vintage.

Mechanically this truck is in excellent condition. It starts easy and runs and drives great! The engine is believed to be the original 6.6L 400 V8 that runs strong and smooth with no issues or red flags that we could find. It looks to be totally stock. It has dual exhaust that sounds nice. The transmission is the Turbo 400 Automatic that shifts nice. It is mated to the np203 transfer case and the 4WD works like it should. It has the Corporate 14 Bolt rear axle with what we think are 3.73 gears (no tag on axle). The front axle is a Corporate 10 Bolt with the 3.73 gears. This truck has a dual battery setup and recently had a new wiper motor installed and a new brake master cylinder. This is all sitting on a nice set of Eagle Alloy wheels with a nearly new set of Goodyear Duratrac tires size 265/75/16.
