ALL STEEL, RUST FREE 1983 JEEP CJ-7 LAREDO FROM CALIFORNIA!!!

Complete Pictures (including undercarriage) and Video at www.4-wheelclassics.com

This 1983 Jeep CJ-7 Laredo is an all steel Jeep that is pretty original but also has some cool upgrades done to it. It spent its life in California and New Mexico which is why it is still all steel and rust free. It is a great combination of upgraded mechanics, original body, and a really nice interior. The body on this Jeep is super clean and straight and the body is all steel and we believe all original body panels. The Jamaican Beige paint appears to be all original and has some cool patina. The decals also appear original. It really has a great look. This Jeep has the Laredo equipment like the chrome grille, side moldings, decals, chrome front bumper, and rear bumperettes. The underside of this Jeep is super clean and we found no rust issues with this CJ.

The interior is in awesome condition. The front seats were reupholstered to match the original and the rest of the interior is original including the carpet, door panels, dash, dash pad, roll bar and roll bar padding. The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are working. The gauges all work. The heat and windshield wipers work but the horn is not working.

Mechanically this Jeep is excellent. The last owner did a complete mechanical overhaul around 5,000 miles ago. The engine was replaced with a 5.7L 350 V8 LT1 Corvette engine that is totally stock with factory fuel injection. This engine was rated for 300 HP and 330 foot pounds of torque. This a very nicely done professional swap and it was done in California to meet California emissions. It had all new injectors installed and this Jeep has a lot of power and is very quick. The transmission is a NV4500 5 Speed Manual Transmission that shifts nice and it is a perfect transmission for this engine as it is a heavy duty and can handle the V8 power. The transmission was rebuilt and also had a new clutch when the swap took place. It is mated to the Dana 300 transfer case and the 4WD works like it should. The rear axle is an AMC 20 with 3.54 gears and a limited slip. The front axle is a Dana 30 with 3.54 gears. This Jeep is set up with an AC compressor for onboard air which is a cool and handy item. It has a 4" Skyjacker lift with HD shackles and it is sitting on a nice set of aluminum wheels with 33 Inch BFG All-Terrain tires.
