1985 JEEP WAGONEER. CLEAN SURVIVOR TRUCK FROM CALIFORNIA!!

Complete Pictures (including undercarriage) and Video at www.4-wheelclassics.com

This 1985 Jeep Wagoneer is a really cool and original Jeep with a unique history. This truck was originally purchased by Forest Hill Telephone Company, which is a small town in Northern CA. The 2nd owner purchased it in 1992 and owned it until 2021. He kept a detailed log of the vehicle but he did park it from 2004-2021. The 3rd owner purchased in 2021 and spent a lot of time and money to make it what you see now. He spent around $8,000 to make it road ready and to give it the look you see now. We did get a lot of receipts. This is a great looking Wagoneer!!! The body on this Jeep is super clean. The Almond Beige paint appears to be all original with a lot of cool patina. The paint obviously shows it age but it looks cool. You don't see too many of the Wagoneers without woodgrain, but this one never had it. The original bumpers are still in nice condition and the underside is extremely nice. We found no rust issues with this rig and there is definitely no rust repair to be found. The last owner added a nice safari roof rack as well.

The interior is in really nice condition. The seats are in great shape and it is hard to tell if they have been recovered. It recently had a new headliner installed and new rear cargo carpet. Everything else is original, except for the radio which was replaced with a Bluetooth unit, and is in really nice condition. The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are all working. The gauges all work. The horn, heat, and wipers work. The AC is not blowing cold but the compressor cycles so it is most likely low on refrigerant.

Mechanically this Jeep is top notch!!! It runs and drives wonderful. The engine was replaced at 110,300 miles so it has roughly 53,000 miles on it. It runs strong. We did not get receipt for the engine but it is written down in the owner log. The fuel tank was flushed, added a new Carb, tune-up, hoses and belts, and all fluids changed. The transmission is the 727 Automatic that was rebuilt less than 1,000 miles ago (have receipt). It shifts nice and it is mated to the np 229 transfer case. The 4WD works like it should. It has the AMC 20 rear axle with 3.31 gears and the front axle is a Dana 44 with 3.31 gears. The last owner had a 4 inch lift kit from BJ's offroad professionally installed. This included all new springs, new shocks, stainless brake hoses, new bushings, trac bar, drop brackets, and new pitman arm. This was all done right and you can tell by how nice this thing drives. This is all sitting on factory steel wheels with hubcaps that look awesome and it has a nearly new set of 33 Inch Mud Terrain tires.

We drive what we sell so that we can give you a first hand and accurate report on how the vehicle runs and drives. Our pictures are never touched up or photoshopped. What you see is an accurate representation of the vehicle. We take consistent pictures and show you everything so you can get a true representation of the vehicle.
