REALLY COOL AND RUST FREE 1986 CHEVY D30 M1008 CUCV MILITARY PICKUP!!

Complete Pictures (including undercarriage) and Video at www.4-wheelclassics.com

This 1986 Chevrolet D30 M1008 CUCV Military pickup is one of the nicest we have seen. It is super clean and super nice and runs and drives awesome. This truck spent its life in California and Nevada and that is why it is so clean. The last owner had this truck for 12 years before we purchased it. He purchased directly from the Military. He did a lot of maintenance to the truck over the years to keep this truck running great and he mainly used it to run around town and for parades. This truck still has the original seating in the bed and also has the Full Military Cover for the bed with the bows and a new Canvas top still in the box.

the body on this truck is super clean and straight. Normally these truck are somewhat beat up with a lot of dents and wear, but this one is really nice. This truck was originally green, but the last owner had it painted 686A Tan which is a military color. The paint still looks great!! It still has the original military bumpers and the the underside is very clean. We found no evidence of rusty or rust repair on this truck.

The interior is your basic military style. The seat was recovered and looks new. The floor mat, door panels, dash bezel are original and still in nice condition. The original dash is showing its age and has a das cover/protector on it. The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are all working. Even the blackout lights are working. The heat and windshield wipers work, but the horn is not working. The truck still has the original rifle mounts and the last owner installed a radio and brake controller.

Mechanically this truck is great!! It starts easily and it runs and drives wonderful. The engine is the original 6.2L diesel that runs strong with no issues or red flags that we could find. It appears to be totally stock. The transmission is the Turbo 400 automatic that shifts nice and it was rebuilt by the last owner. We have the receipt. he said the transmission was cracked when he bought the truck so he replaced it with a ReMan transmission. It is mated to the np208 transfer case and the 4WD works like it should. It has the Corporate 14 Bolt rear axle with 4.56 gears and a factory locker. The front axle is a Dana 60 with 4.56 gears. The front axle was rebuilt with new kingpins, bearings, and seals and the truck had 4 new shocks installed. This is all sitting on a set of factory steel wheels with All Terrain tires. Very cool rig!!
