CLEAN, SOLID, ALL STEEL 1986 JEEP CJ-7! SUPER CLEAN AND AFFORDABLE CJ-7!!

This 1986 Jeep CJ-7 is an all steel and really cool Jeep that is clean and solid. The previous owners built this Jeep into a nice reliable driver that could be taken off road if you wanted. One of the owners was in the military and this Jeep travelled with him all over the country and even went to Germany for awhile. It has always been well cared for and maintained an it shows. The body is really clean and solid. The original color was black, but it was painted Military Tan at some point. The paint is still really nice and the jeep has a great look. It has aftermarket front and rear bumpers. the rear bumper has a swing out rear tire carrier with a full size spare. It has a BestTop Soft top and doors that is great condition and it comes with 2 extra bikini/safari tops as well. The underside of this CJ is super clean and we found no rust issues with this Jeep.

The interior is really nice and it is your typical basic Jeep interior. We think the seats are original and they are in still in good condition. When the jeep was painted they painted the metal on the dash to match the roll bar. It still has the original dash pad that is very nice shape and the original steering wheel that is in really nice shape. The headlights, taillights, brake lights, and turn signals are all working. The gauges all work. The horn and heater work. The horn is not working.

Mechanically this Jeep is excellent. It starts easy and runs and drives great!! The engine is the 4.2L Inline 6 that is known for its longevity and reliability. The engine was rebuilt but we do not know when and we did not receive a receipt. We found no issues or red flags with the engine at all. They upgraded the carb to Weber when the engine was rebuilt. The transmission is the t4 Manual that shifts nice and it is mated to the Dana 300 transfer case. The 4WD works like it should. It has the AMC 20 rear axle with 2.73 gears and the front axle is a Dana 30 with 2.73 gears. This Jeep has a 2/12 inch all spring lift with HD greasable shackles and extended stainless steel brake lines. This is all sitting on black aluminum wheels with 33 Inch Dick Cepek All terrain Tires.
