CLEAN, COOL, HARD TO FIND 1976 INTERNATIONAL SCOUT II FROM NEVADA!!

Complete Pictures (including undercarriage) and Video at www.4-wheelclassics.com

This 1976 International Scout II is a really clean and really cool Scout II that spent its life in Nevada. Scouts are getting very very hard to find and this is a good solid example that combines an original exterior with a redone interior. Great looking rig!! This truck has had a lot of work done to it to make it a reliable driver. We were told the miles are original (we have the original speedo head), but we replaced the speedo because the speedometer was bouncing. The body on this Scout is super clean. The solar yellow paint appears to be mostly original and it looks great with some minor patina and marks from over the years. The front and rear bumpers are still nice and the underside is really clean and solid. Scouts are known to rust and this is one clean example. The only place rust was found was on the outside edge of the floor boards which was found when the underside was being cleaned and checked. That area was professionally repaired with metal, seam sealed, and then the underside was detailed and painted. The frame was also cleaned and had POR15 applied at that time. There is absolutely no hidden rust on the underside.

The interior is awesome!! It has all new upholstery, new headliner, custom matching door panels, new carpet with Killmat sound deadener installed, and new door and tailgate weatherstripping. The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are all working. The gauges all work. The heater, windshield wipers, and horn are also all working.

Mechanically this Scout is great and it runs and drives wonderful. The engine is believed to be the original 345 V8 that runs strong with no issues or red flags that we found. Recent work includes a new 4 Barrel Carb, fresh tune-up, new fuel pump, new fuel tank, new water pump, valve cover gaskets, new radiator, new hoses, new belts, and new thermostat. It also had a new Master Cylinder recently and it has great sounding dual exhaust. It has the T-18 4 Speed Manual Transmission that shifts nice with a good clutch. It is mated to the Dana 20 transfer case. The 4WD works like it should. The rear axle is a Dana 44 with 3.73 gears. The front axle is a Dana 44 with 3.73 gears and factory International locking hubs. It has a 4 Inch all spring lift with newer shocks and new body mounts. This is all sitting on a nice set of aluminum wheels with new Falken WildPeak Mud Terrain Tires size 33 x 12.5 x 15. What an awesome rig!!!
